Professional Trip to Andorra

On Friday 23 February, students of the University Master’s degree in Arts and Cultural Management had a professional trip to Andorra La Vella. Andorra is a country at the heart of Pirineo, between Catalunya/Spain and France. It is well known for its natural and cultural heritage, but mainly for its commercial activity and treasured ski slopes. The students had a guided tour at Art collection- Crèdit Andorrà, in charge of Gemma Martín, Curator and  Graduate in Art History.
It is a private  non for profit painting collection created in 1987 with the aim to preserve and promote art and research. The art gallery includes more than a hundred works from the most representative Catalan painters from the XVIII to the XX century.

As complementary activities, the students had a guided tour in Casa de la Vall where they learnt about the story and the institutional system of the Principality of Andorra. Furthermore, they visited the Portal de la Vall, a reference point for the Madriu-Perafita-Claror valley where to find all the information regarding leisure activities  offered in the Valley,as well as facts on the tasks carried out to manage the valley and promote the values that have made it a UNESCO Human Heritage site.
