Juan Sebastián is a young Colombian, who planned to travel to Barcelona to learn new content that allows him to plan new projects

What did you do before the master?

Before coming to Barcelona I was working for a concert promoting company back in Bogotá.

Why did you decide to do the master?

I decided to do this master because I thought it was the right moment in my life to go back to the academy and strengthen my knowledge. Also, I had never had the experience of living far from my country, so UIC's program came as a great opportunity for me.

How has your experience been with classmates from so many different countries?

My experience getting to know classmates from all around the world has been enlightening. To get to learn different points of view to the same issues and challenges, is just priceless.

What do you want to do after completing the Master in Cultural Management?

After the Master is over, I would like to continue working in the live music industry. I think that now, more than ever, cultural organizations need people with our capacities and knowledge.

What would you like to create or transform in your city, from what you have learned in Barcelona?

Third world countries like mine have a long road to go. Barcelona has taught me so many things, it is hard to choose one. But, if I had to, I will go for planification, to go ahead what we should do, and not to just rumble into tasks.

How would you define your life experience in Barcelona?

My experiences in Barcelona have been without a doubt unique.

What did you like the most about the master?

What I liked the most about UIC's Master was my partners.

What fun moments do you highlight of the master?

Almost everyday was a highlight during this Master. It has been such a weird time to be making a Master outside your country, that everything that happened, is just outside of any cotidianity.
